HCC Weekly - March 17th

Today is Day 76 of our Bible reading plan. We have learned many things so far about the character of God. Genesis, Job, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy! Great job seeing God’s character in these books!! Remember as you are reading God’s word to focus on His character, not your character. There are plenty of bible readings and devotionals that focus on yourself but the whole point of this “Bible Recap” is to specifically focus on who God is! As always: “He’s where the joy is!”

Rejoice – A Devotional

Pastor Joy

"This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." – Psalm 118:24

The song Rejoice by Charity Gayle is a powerful anthem of praise, calling us to lift our voices in joy no matter our circumstances. It reminds us that rejoicing is not just an emotional response to good times, but a choice to celebrate God's goodness in every season.

When we choose to rejoice, we align our hearts with the truth that God is in control, that His love never fails, and that His promises remain steadfast. Even in trials, we can praise Him because He is working all things for our good (Romans 8:28). Our joy is not based on our circumstances but on the unshakable foundation of Jesus Christ.

Take a moment today to rejoice—whether through song, prayer, or thanksgiving. Declare His goodness, and let His joy be your strength (Nehemiah 8:10).

Lord, thank You for this day. No matter what I face, I choose to rejoice in You. Fill my heart with Your joy and remind me of Your faithfulness. Let my praise be a testimony of Your goodness.

Amen.
